Introduction to Computation and Programming Using Python
I was interested in learning more about the Python language, partly because I use Jython on a regular basis Jython is an implementation of Python, written in Java. But if you had to pick only one, this would be a great choice.
While i understand that it is a part of uding CS, this book will not be easy someone new on the subject. It is explained in a foreword that this is basically a compilation of the course notes, and to be honest, it does come across that way. Amazon Renewed Refurbished products with a warranty. I’d like to read this book on Kindle Don’t have a Kindle? The book is extremely easy to read and offers computaiton very broad perspective. It is an extensive introduction which dives into stochastic models and inferential statistics.
Sintaxis, semantics, algorithms and computational complexity are some of the topics you can expect to see in this book, and even though, at some point I had to spent quite a bit of time rereading to grasp some of the concepts, if you have the patience and time, is well worth it!

He fired the six shots, and then painted the targets around them. Much of this is very translatable to other languages and would be useful to anyone learning the basic fundamentals of computer programming, regardless of the language. Sometimes it helps to read the textbook material before viewing the lectures, as some of the topics we cover get quite dense after week 6 and proggamming introduction of OOP. Although the course description says that the textbook is optional and they provide a watermarked copy available online, there’s nothing better than having an e-book you can read on a full-size tablet!
I like that the book is written to introdduction tough and leaves room for the reader to figure things out on their own. The book does not require knowledge of mathematics beyond high school algebra, but does assume that readers are comfortable with rigorous thinking and not intimidated by mathematical concepts.

There’s other good, practical outlook in the book. Its purpose is more computer and data science than learning the python language.
