Het verhaal is zeker 4 sterren waard maar de schrijfstijl van deze auteur past niet helemaal bij mij. It didn’t spare Louisa some serious amount of pain, but better late than ever. You care very much what people think about you.

Really like the fact that no miracles happen like in similar novels but things still have the fairy tale happy ending.

She goes above and uer the call of duty and the only one to not like the results is the current viscountess. What first caught my attention about this book was that the hero was blind. Simon, on the other hand, was a confirmed rake. I just skimmed those unnecessary parts to get to the good stuff. Her bexroom is just so perfect as we are told over and over calen she is missing a certain zest for something. Louisa walks around smiling; Simon rows boats in his lake and thinks about Louisa the perfume angel.


Now he’s stuck up in his grandmothers house trying to make the best of what has happened. I also enjoyed Callen’s Spies and Lovers trilogy. And of course they fall in luvvv, and he starts sneaking into her room at night, to sit in the chair and talk to her, because he just wants to be close.

Anyway, Louisa’s father left the family penniless, and regardless if her other sisters found good marriages, Louisa decided to work. Louisa encourages Simon and goes out of her viscounnt to help make his life easier. I liked that Simon stayed the way he was. This was my favorite of the Willow Pond Series As the story was coming to a conclusion my eyes were watering Being in the crush of an overheated ballroom looking for someone. Only the woman hiring her isn’t in need of a companion. This bothered me in book 1 and now again in this book, but the characters and hef did make up for this.


But something held him back, and it wasn’t fear of rejection, or fear of looking foolish.

From beginning to end I was fully satisfied, and absolutely adored it!!! The H lives with his grandmother on her estate just outside London as he cannot abide living alone at his estate in Derbyshire. Write your own comment on this book! Hand it to me.

Als het kon zou ik het boek 3 en een half sterren geven. Simon is instantly taken my Louisa, however due to various rumors that he as heard over the years proclaiming her to be fast he struggles against his feelings. I like this ‘different take’ on the blindness trope as the H realistically overcomes the new limitations of his life.
