He left Flammarion in Katie rated it it was ok Aug 20, I found it very interesting and some of the character’s questions went through my mind a few times during my life. The writing style was not something that jibed with me. The prize is awarded annually to a promising young French author. The climax comes with a twist that is radical and scary. The book continues to deal with some of the issues that were considered in ‘ Holiday in a Coma ‘, and in the same vein of not really being sure if the book is talking about the character, of if it is referring to the author themselves – which makes sense, since it is semi-biograhical.

In the end, even the author admits that the premise itself isn’t really true.

The writing is visceral especially in giving a sense of what the main character is going throughalthough it can get a bit repetitive yes, we get he is depressed and is suicidal!
