Have you tried running your code in the simulator, with the simulated serial IO directed to the COM port with the Nokia attached? I did this test at very first Andy.
Also, if you then send an OK response from Hypoterminal, does your recognise it? It is possible that the PC’s COM port is more tolerant of baud rate errors than the Nokia – are you sure that your ‘s baud rate is really correct?
