I love this dear first book of the Brotherband Chronicles. Or was there another way? He was so cool! Even when it seems the outcasts will be hated for the rest of their lives for losing the Skandian’s greatest treasure, they strike on the only possible solution: Bit of a cliffhanger though, but that just means I’ll have to read the next book too.
The book uses Hal to portray a natural born leader who came from nothing and ended at the top. The book also has a secondary focus on Thorn, spreading the idea that you shouldn’t underestimate someone until you know what they brotherbadn really like.
It’s mentioned he’s a thief almost every time his name comes up in paragraph.

I hate this whole cliff-hanger ending thing but I gotta admit, it sure guarentees I will read the next book. And do I encourage you to read this? Both are outcasts and have different talents than most people, but they find their place and turn out to have much talent.
