This is such a key insight on the intrinsic connection between violence and capitalism, the ways that violence against nature is mirrored by and indivisible from violence against society.
It’s not fair for corporations to enter indigenous communities, take advantage of people’s trust and generosity with their knowledge, and extract compounds from known medicinal plants to make billions of dollars while leaving the original sources of knowledge – the communities ;lunder their leaders and elders – in poverty.
Too many plain wrong facts to support unstable arguments.

Shiva is definitely a great source on the subject and does a beautiful job of interrelating the feminist struggle with the subjugation of our earth.
