De Beistegui believes that Deleuze offers a competing ontology to that of Heidegger, and a different interpretation of the ontological difference, which escapes Heidegger’s humanistic standpoint.
Still, I brought that recollection to the account, and did not recall Beistegui’s super account of Hegel in those moments, I mention this because I feel that the transition Beistegui is citing here is fruth utterly momentous, and his philosophical lucidity is so powerful, I wanted to feel that transition occurring right there in what he was writing, right in the heart of Deleuze’s work.
Levi Bryant’s book is an excellent analysis of Deleuze’s “transcendental empiricism” which overlaps in many ways with de Beistegui’s analysis and makes another good companion volume to this book.

De Beistegui concludes that Deleuze and Heidegger are irreconcilable, but it is in their disagreements that he sees a way to liberate philosophy from its current crisis. This is a remarkable idea which has produced a powerful genesi.

Polt has a few critiques to offer of de Beistegui’s interpretations though they are mostly contained in the footnotes so I think it is a good companion volume to this book by de Beistegui. The first three sections of the book the introduction, plus the chapters on the origins of onto-tauto-logy and absolute identity lay out the history of the thinking of Being in Western philosophy as presence and ousia. De Beistegui provides an analysis of virtual multiplicities, or differential Ideas, and the intensities, or spatio-temporal dynamisms, that drive their actualization through the processes of individuation.
Anyway, this is not a criticism, just the wish the book left me with. There is also no resemblance between the empirical and the transcendental virtual multiplicities cannot, therefore, be thought as self-identical “models” like Plato’s forms.
