Your OSO is the individual who’ll walk you 615 the commissioning process if you get that far. I’ve got a copy of the most recent SSgt board ‘questions and answers’ direct from the board. The Corps has many more people trying to get in than it can accomodate, hence the selection standards are higher than they would normally be.
I wouldn’t be too concerned with it. So, I’m going to contact another OSO to see what they have to say on the matter.

I know an adverse fitness report is pretty much career-ending for an enlisted Marine. When they have a tough time finding people to join, it’s easier to get in, naturally. I want to become an officer, and aside from that, my record is in good standing. That being said, I know that the Corps isn’t always one for second chances. You’re on the 1605 track and talking to the right people. Being a nasty civilian doesn’t compare.
That’s what’s ‘briefed’ when your packet goes in front of the selection board, and why its’ so critical to make sure your SRB matches the OMPF. Sumc been out for almost 4 years and I’m not getting over the good ol’ corps.
