The last chapter of his book is a veritable fun house of questionable, even dubious, scientific findings that have much in common with the socio-biological myths that were fed to race-hungry publics in the early part of the 20th century.

Even with a basic knowledge of the great migrations you are left hung out to dry when Koestler takes you through Central Europe, The Great Steppes and Asia in the pursuit of the origins of the Khazars and how they influenced their part of the world for nearly years.
